Xcaret

Xcaret is a tropical and delightful paradise where Mayan culture, ecology and Mexico’s native flora and fauna come together. Sea Trek

The Sea Trek, is a breathtaking underwater walk and is the perfect way to view the beautiful ocean life without going scuba diving. And, to experience Sea Trek you do not need any special training and you do not need to know how to swim. You will be able to see amazing tropical fish and even feed them wearing a uniquely designed helmet.

Underground Rivers

Xcaret’s Underground Rivers are an adventure in exploring the beautiful clear blue waters created underground by nature. The Underground Rivers are connected to a large network of rivers that run under the Yucatan Peninsula. At Xcaret Mayan, you can explore this mysterious underground city without going diving. All you need is a life vest. The cool currents of the river will transport you for 2000 feet as you float by ancient cenotes, mysterious caves, and picturesque rock formations and ancient marine fossils. If you tend to get a little claustrophobic, there are six exits along the way.

Swim With The Dolphins

At Xcaret, you can swim with dolphin mothers and their babies. You will have an opportunity to learn about dolphins and tour the maternity area to see dolphins at different stages of development. Next, you will be able to spend the next hour playing, interacting and swimming with the dolphins. Advanced reservations are recommended. Groups are limited to six people and four dolphins, two mothers and two babies.

Xcaret Natural Pools

Xcaret Natural Pools are located next to Xcaret Beach or Xcaret Playa The crystal clear aquamarine waters are the perfect way to enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the Mexican sun. The pools are nature’s Jacuzzis created by the continuous recycling of water from the ocean waves. Xcaret Natural Pools are an ideal way to relax and enjoy the beautiful jungle flora and fauna surrounding you.

Accommodations

The Occidental Grand Xcaret Resort is a luxurious all inclusive resort located within walking distance of the Xcaret Ecological Park. The Xcaret Resort features five swimming pools and 11 world class restaurants. In 2009, the Grand Flamenco Xcaret is offering a one day complimentary pass to Xcaret for each guest staying at the resort.

Xcaret Tours

Xcaret tours depart daily from Cancun and Playa Del Carmen. Your hotel tour desk will be able to make the arrangements for you. Air conditioned buses will transport you from your resort to breathtaking Xcaret. Buses depart at several different times in the morning and return in the late afternoon and evening, so you can stay as little or as long as you like. You will find once you get there, that you will never want to leave because there are so many exciting places to explore. Xcaret tour prices will vary based on the number of activities you would like to participate in at the park.
