The Akumal Beach Resort is an all inclusive and affordable resort located in the heart of the beautiful Mayan Riviera. The resort is a 240 room hotel situated in a tropical setting, it has an on-site dive shop and shaded palapas to enjoy a day at the beach. The resort also features casual dining at its three restaurants. The Akumal Beach Resort in Mexico is about a 90 minute drive from Cancun International Airport and just a short drive from the famous Xel-Ha Ecological Park.

Accommodations

The Akumal Beach Resort Cancun offers three types of rooms. The Superior Room is the largest room option and includes one king or two double beds with a pool or ocean view. The Ocean View Room includes one king or two double beds with an ocean view. The Garden View room includes one king or two queen beds and a pool or garden view. All rooms feature air conditioning, cable television, hair dryer and safety deposit box.

Restaurants

The Akumal Beach Resort Mayan features four tantalizing restaurants. The Akumal Reach Resort all inclusive plan includes dining at three of the restaurants. The Mexican Beach House is an a ala carte Mexican restaurant open for dinner. The Italian Restaurant serves gourmet Italian cuisine a la carte style for dinner. The Main Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet style. La Langosta Borracha, is not included in the all inclusive plan. La Langosta features lobster, steak and 40 unique wines. Reservations are required for the a la carte restaurants and guests are limited to one reservation at each restaurant per week.

Activities

The Akumal Beach Resorts offers daily and nightly entertainment and activities for everyone in the family. During the day, the entertainment staff offers dance lessons, volleyball, horseback riding and many other fun beach and pool activities. The entertainment staff was puts on nightly shows with a different theme each night. The Kid’s Club is open from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Kid’s activities include children’s pool, playground, sandcastle contests and arts and crafts.
